Walden House began in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury district in 1969. We now have 4 full Residential facilities in San Francisco, 3 in Los Angeles and 5 In-custody programs in the Central Valley and Southern California. We also have Sober Living and Outpatient programs in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Walden House is unique because we treat addiction as a symptom, not the cause. We run a Therapeutic Community where we have peers and mentors as well as staff running and working the program together. |

Typically we are looking for all of the staff needed to run a residential program. We need maintenance workers, cooks, frontline counselors, administrative staff, coordinators, therapists, psychologists and program directors. |
| ENTRY- LEVEL POSITIONS | In our applicants for Entry Level Counselors we like to see people that are familiar with 12-step and the Therapeutic Community Concept. We also like to see people that have some higher education in social work, human services or counseling. |
